‘The play Whereabouts Unknown by Nava Semel is centred on the theme of memory, conveyed by way of painful remembrances and traumas, experienced by two families of post-war refugees to Israel. The plot has been inspired by the life of the playwright herself, and is the story of immigrants from Europe trying to do their best in finding their place in a new country without losing their identity. As we have been able to observe from the age of Antiquity onwards, the art of storytelling is also an art of healing, and this is clearly visible in Whereabouts Unknown, where the tale of the two families doubles as a story that makes healing, forgiveness and coming to terms with the past possible’. ”Piesa de teatru RUDE PIERDUTE de Nava Semel are ca temă centrală memoria, o memorie care se exprimă prin amintiri dureroase și traume, experiențe prin care au trecut cele două familii de refugiați. Piesa are ca inspirație viața scriitoarei Nava Semel, este povestea imigranților care încearcă să se integreze într-o țară nouă, fără a-și pierde identitatea. Așa cum știm deja din Antichitate, arta povestirii era și arta vindecării, iar acest lucru îl vom putea observa și în RUDE PIERDUTE, o poveste de viață a celor două familii, o poveste care face posibilă vindecarea, iertarea și împăcarea lor cu trecutul.” (Mihaela Panainte, regizor)
